I
did this lovely hairstyle for a family member a couple of nights a go. She was going to a private get together and wanted to feel pretty 🙂

I did my very bet to capture what she wanted, I asked what dress she was wearing so I could have a visual of how her hair would fit in with the dress 🙂

Honey and lemon marinaded chicken Recipe.

012

You will need:

  • 3-4 Pieces of chicken joints.
  • Roughly 100ml of lemon juice.
  • 2 beef stock cubes.
  • 5 table spoons of heated (hot) honey.
  • Garlic powder (as much as you like).
  • Smoked Paprika. (as much as you like).
  • Teaspoon of pepper.
  • Tikka masala powder.
  • Dried Thyme.
  • Teaspoon of salt.
  • 1 cup of oil.
  • Aromat (as much as you like).

Method:

Starting off with the hot honey and two stock cubes in a bowl, mix them together until the stock cubes completely dissolve in the honey. You can then start to add the garlic powder, smoked paprika, tikka masala powder, aromat, pepper, dried thyme and salt to the honey and stock cube mix.

Pour in the cup of oil and start to mix all of the ingredients together. It will seem like it is clumping up, but don’t worry, that is just the honey getting stiff. Finally add the lemon juice to the mix and mix it all together until the lemon breaks up the honey and there is to more clumping.

Pour the marinade over the chicken and leave it to soak for a few hours. ( I left it to soak for 4 hours, moving the chicken pieces ever now and then to ensure full coverage) Once you are ready to cook the chicken, place the joints in a deep oven dish, Then pour the marinade all over the chicken. Place the chicken in the oven on 180 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes, basting the chicken with the marinade every 15 minutes. Once the 45 minutes are up, drain out the marinade ( you might want to save it, or just throw it away), turn the oven up to 200 degrees. place the chicken back in for 10 minutes, this will make the skin a little crispy and yummy and sticky, but in a good way. Then dish up and enjoy the yummy goodness!!!

I had mine with a Mediterranean roast veg cous cous.

Rimmel stronger double duty base coat and Lycra Pro polish Review!

Rimmel Stronger Double Duty Base coat + Lycra PRO in peppermint green.

I purchased these two products online. They came together as a set.
I am very impressed with this nail polish set.

110
when I opened the base coat I noticed it had a sweet smell to it, far from that harsh fumes smell that you get from most polishes.
I don’t know about you, but I have found it so hard to find a cool peppermint colored nail polish in stores, so when I saw the Rimmel Lycra Pro was available in peppermint green, I was quick to get it!
The color is just perfect, although you do need two coats for it to truly show up, or it will be slightly transparent.
The color is so pretty!!! It would make a great background for nail designs, or to use as a nail art outline! The possibilities are endless!

InstagramCapture_7df1a2b8-1479-45e4-8506-e8e4b73befe2

I have been using the Rimmel Stronger Try Harder Double Base coat on my toe nails for over a week now, and I have to admit, I have noticed a difference in my nails.
They seem stronger, more healthy looking and more importantly, they haven’t cracked or chipped. I can’t use it on my fingernails yet as I have acrylic nails at the moment 🙂

So in my honest opinion, I would definitely get it again,
I honestly can not fault this product at all. It meets my standards.

Good quality … Check.
Affordable …Check
Does what it says on the pack … Check
Dries quickly … Check
Would I buy it again … Damn straight!
Would I tell my friends about it …. The whole world!
Does it last long … It claims to last for 10 days (for me today is day 7 and no chips or cracks in the polish.)

The only complaints I have are: WHY AREN’T THERE BIGGER BOTTLES!!!! and that you need to do two coats, ain’t nobody got time for that. (It’s not that big of a deal. It dries fast!)

Lets be fair, Rimmel do make really good quality cosmetics.

Thank you for reading my review.
Any and all feedback is appreciated, What do you think of this product?

How to do a French Braid and turn it into a hair up.

As a hairdresser, I always get asked ‘how do you do a french braid?’
Well I have decided to make a short video explaining and showing you how to do a simple french braid, and how you can use it as a base for a simple, yet elegant hair up.

A video is the only way I could clearly explain it, as well as show you, because I think, sometimes pictures and written instructions just aren’t enough.

Thank you for reading my post and I hope you find my video useful.

Black french tip with Nail art Stickers.

WP_20141108_22_54_42_Pro
I
have always wanted to try out nail stickers, so once my order had arrived, I couldn’t wait to give them a go!
I used W7 black matte nail polish to do a simple french tip. I then had a huge amount of time fiddling with the nails stickers, trying to get them off the backing paper, finally managed to transfer them onto my nails,

Above is a video tutorial of how I achieved this look, just so you can get a visual idea of what I did 🙂
If you enjoy it, please give it a thumbs up and Subscribe to my channel 🙂

GOSH foundation and Primer, Review.

Product Review
If you’re like me and have a sensitivity to cosmetic products then keep reading.

I am one of those unlucky people that have to be very careful with some of the cosmetic products I use. For me, this can be anything from make-up to face wash.

Today I will be talking about the GOSH foundation & primer.
WP_20141029_10_09_02_Pro

For years I have had to keep trying different types of foundations because of a few things : Some brands give me headaches, cause my skin to break out, make my eyes go puffy and water, at worst a few brands make my skin feel like it is burning.

Then we also have the problem of the product being too ‘cakey’ or not enough coverage, even more importantly, HOW LONG IT STAYS ON FOR!

WP_20141029_10_09_15_Pro
WP_20141029_10_12_13_Pro

I have very temperamental skin, as well as a dry T-zone which is a battle to keep the skin ‘normal’. I find that the GOSH Velvet Touch Primer helps smooth out my skin and keeps my T-zone under control. A pea sized amount goes a very long way with this product.

WP_20141029_10_09_26_ProWP_20141029_10_13_39_Pro

When choosing a foundation, I look for 3 things :

  1. Will it look natural.
  2. Will it agree with my skin.
  3. What result will it give me.

With GOSH Natural Touch Foundation, I find it goes on my skin smoothly and I can’t even feel it on my face. It looks natural and isn’t ‘cakey’, it doesn’t give too much coverage, which isn’t a problem for me, but I wouldn’t wear it if I wanted a more porcelain type of look.

WP_20141029_10_15_28_Pro

Overall I am happy with the product, but as you can see in the picture after me putting it on, my skin has started going red, which is odd, since I have used GOSH products for years and never had a problem, The redness has now gone though after 10 minutes of wearing the make up, So I wont be in a rush to change products just yet.

In case you are interested in where I got these from and how much they cost :

Superdrug and I bought the foundation for roughly £7 and the Velvet Touch Primer was roughly £13

Thank you for reading my post 🙂
